ABOUT

Cramer Law is a law firm founded by, executive director Naomi Cramer, a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.

In 1996 she completed her Bachelor of Laws Degree at Auckland University attaining “A” grades in her final year including an “A” grade for Family Law.

In 1997 she sat and passed further professional exams at the Legal Professional Institute of Auckland and later that year was admitted to the bar as a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.

In 1998 she became a Staff Solicitor at Rotorua Law Firm Rangitauira & Co practising primarily Family and Criminal law, regularly appearing in both the Family Court & Criminal Jurisdiction of both the District Court and High Courts.

It was during her time with Rangitauira & Co that she gained experience with a high profile rape & murder trial.

In 1998 she sat and passed exams for the Duty Solicitor course and became enrolled as a Duty Solicitor and was included on the roster for the Rotorua District Court. A decade later in 2008 Naomi was appointed as the Duty Solicitor Supervisor at Waitakere Court, Auckland.

In 2002 Naomi was appointed as a Youth Advocate.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Naomi is a Christian and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is of Maori descent, and is affiliated to Ngai Tai, Whakatohea & Te Arawa.

Because of her background Naomi is very much in touch with the real world, is culturally sensitive, down to earth and understanding. She can explain complex legal matters in plain English that you can understand.

Naomi is a keen advocate of Indigenous Peoples Rights and Animals Rights and has written submissions to Parliament regarding theses issues advocating legislative change and is LGBT friendly.

She also supports Greenpeace, the SPCA, SAFE ,UNICEF, the Forest & Bird Society and has been a volunteer at both the Citizens Advice Bureau and Women’s Refuge.

Naomi enjoys outings to the theater, the ballet as well as horse riding and spending time with her two children.

Naomi has full time care of her two children, as a mother she knows just how precious your children are to you.

She is fully aware of the devastating impact of parental break up has on children and can help to minimize the stress.
